SEQUENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRITS
Holy Spirit, Lord of light,
From Thy clear celestial height
Thy pure beaming radiance give.
Come, Thou Father of the poor,
Come with treasures which endure,
Come, Thou Light of all that live.
Thou, of all consolers best,
Thou, the soul’s delightsome Guest,
Dost refreshing peace bestow.
Thou in toil art comfort sweet,
Pleasant coolness in the heat,
Solace in the midst of woe.
Light immortal, Light divine,
Thou these hearts of Thine,
And our inmost being fill.
If Thou take Thy grace away,
Nothing pure in man will stay;
All his good is turned to ill.
Heal our wounds; our strength renew;
On our dryness pour Thy dew;
Wash the stains of guilt away.
Bend the stubborn heart and will;
Melt the frozen, warm the chill;
Guide the steps that go astray.
Thou, on those who evermoreThee confess and Thee adore,
In Thy sevenfold gifts descend:
Give them comfort when they die,
Give them life with Thee on high;
Give them joys that never end.

Let us pray – Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who regenerated us by water and Holy Spirit, freeing us from sin, infuse in us Your Spirit, the Paraclete: Spirit of wisdom und understanding, Spirit of counsel and strength, Spirit of knowledge and piety, and fill us with the Spirit of your holy fear. We ask you this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
HYMN TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Come, Holy Ghost, Creator, come,
From thy bright heav’nly throne
Come, take possession of our souls,
And make them all thy own.
Thou who art called the Paraclete,
Best gift of God above,
The living spring, the living fire
Sweet unction and true love.
Thou who art sev’nfold in thy grace,
Finger of God’s right hand;
His promise, teaching little ones
To speak and understand.
O guide our minds with thy blest light
With love our hearts inflame
And with the strength, which ne’er decays
Confirm our mortal frame.
Far from us drive our deadly foe;

Let us pray – O God, who taught your faithful enlightening their hearts with the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit, we may be truly wise and always rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Glory, adoration, blessing, love to You, Divine Eternal Spirit, who have sent on earth the Saviour of our souls. And glory and honour to His most adorable Heart, who loves us with an infinite Love!
O Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your Will.

Eternal Father, in the name of Jesus Christ and through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, send us the Holy Spirit.
Come, Holy Spirit, into my heart and sanctify it.
Come, Father of the poor, and relieve me.
Come, Author of all good, and console me.
Come, Light of minds, and enlighten me.
Come, Consoler of souls, and comfort me.
Come, sweet Guest of hearts, and do not depart from me.
Come, true Refreshment of my life, and restore me.
